THE IMPORTANCE OF THEORETICAL KNOWLEDGE OF THE AZERBAIJAN MUSICAL INSTRUMENT (KANON)
IN THE EDUCATIONAL PROCESS

The article considers the history of creation and playing the Azerbaijan musical instrument kanon, which takes an important place in the musical culture of Azerbaijan. Technical capacity of the canon is studied on the basis of theoretical knowledge, the application of which is essential in learning to play the instrument. On the basis of abundant actual material the researcher considers the importance of theory of the kanon in training musicians, develops her own suggestions and recommendation for students to master such complicated instrument, its rich sound system and wide range, critically analyzes the works of famous musical experts, reasonably substantiates her position about the importance of the kanon in enriching the musical culture of Azerbaijan.
